The first part, “Creating a diverse and inclusive clean energy workforce,” launched October 6, 2020. Subsequent parts aired October 28, November 11 and December 1.

Topics included a look at the data that shows the importance of diversity hiring for a robust clean energy workforce, discussion and examples of successful inclusion and diversity programs and why they work, how diversity helps a companies’ bottom line, and the importance of mentoring and supporting underrepresented groups. Experts in specific companies in a variety of fields talked about their real-life experiences.

This symposium was hosted by the Colorado Energy Research Collaboratory, the Colorado Solar & Storage Association (COSSA), the Colorado Renewable Energy Society (CRES) and Holy Cross Energy.
