Congratulations to Dr. Ellen Morris, Nexus co-lead and Director of NREL’s University Partnership’s Program, for winning the University of Colorado’s Center for Ethics and Social Responsibility (CESR) inaugural Community Connector Award. CESR is housed within CU’s Leeds School of Business.

The mission of CESR is to “empower current and future business leaders to drive solutions to environmental, social, and ethical challenges,” and to “serve as a bridge between the Leeds School and the sustainable business community”.

The award recognizes Dr. Morris’ contributions to the mission of CESR and service to the local community. Ellen has been working with CESR students  and faculty for a few years, providing her deep knowledge of clean energy and professional connections, in service towards transitioning towards a clean energy future.

Kathryn Wendell, CESR Executive Director, says that Ellen embodies the idea behind the award. “Ellen is forward thinking and innovative in her approach to building capacity in the clean energy sector. She sees how collaboration allows each partner to do more, and is always looking for new avenues of connection and opportunity”. We in Nexus certainly agree.

Congratulations, Ellen, for this much deserved and well-earned award!  Read the full writeup from CU here.
